MOVING WALKWAY

Il progetto oggetto del presente intervento ha l’obbiettivo di rispondere a due esigenze funzionali degli utenti dell’aeroporto:

• migliorare il comfort ed il livello di servizio per l’utenza aeroportuale che arriva e lascia lo scalo dalla darsena utilizzando i mezzi acquei;
• consentire il trasferimento dei passeggeri dalla darsena all’aerostazione e viceversa, adeguando il servizio aeroportuale agli standard degli aeroporti internazionali analoghi per tipologia di traffico.

Tali obbiettivi si sono concretizzati con la costruzione di un edificio sulla darsena, una grande porta d’acqua che accoglie i mezzi acquei da e per Venezia e la realizzazione del Moving Walkway, un edificio lungo circa 365 metri che contiene dei tappeti mobili che collegano l’aerostazione con la darsena.

The project object of the present intervention has the objective to answer to two functional needs of the users of the airport:

• improve the comfort and the level of service for airport users arriving and leaving the airport from the dock using water;
• allow the transfer of passengers from the dock to the airport and vice versa, adapting the airport service to the standards of similar international airports by type of traffic.

These objectives were realized with the construction of a building on the dock, a large water port that welcomes water vehicles to and from Venice and the construction of the Moving Walkway, a building about 365 meters long that contains moving carpets that connect the aerostation with the dock.
