INTERNATIONAL HONORABLE MENTION OF ARCHITECTURE “BARBARA CAPPOCHIN” – HONORABLE MENTION – NEW POLE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PADUA
Il nuovo polo umanistico dell’Università di Padova si inserisce all’interno dell’area nell’ex ospedale geriatrico in modo rispettoso del contesto di cui valorizza le emergenze architettoniche e gli spazi aperti dei cortili ridefinendo un nuovo sistema di relazioni tra il complesso edilizio e la città. Il complesso progetto funzionale che comprende biblioteche, aule e uffici dei dipartimenti viene declinato grazie ad una attenta operazione di recupero dell’architettura ottocentesca e attraverso la demolizione delle parti incongrue. L’inserimento dei nuovi volumi consente, infine, di ridefinire i rapporti tra pieni e vuoti creando spazi permeabili al tessuto urbano circostante.
The new humanistic centre of the University of Padua is located within the area of the former Geriatric Hospital in a way that respects the context. It enhances the architectural forms and the open spaces of the courtyards, redefining a new system of relations between the building complex and the city. The complex functional project that includes libraries, classrooms and offices of the departments is designed thanks to a careful operation of recovery of the nineteenth-century architecture and through the demolition of the incongruous parts. The insertion of the new volumes allows, finally, to redefine the relationships between full and empty spaces, creating spaces permeable to the surrounding urban context.
PALAZZETTO DELLO SPORT A CONEGLIANO – PREMIO CONI 2007-2008
Per il biennio 2007-2008 sono stati assegnati i Premi CONI per il Concorso Impianti Sportivi e la Commissione Esaminatrice ha valutato 60 progetti in concorso. Sono state individuate due categorie: Impianti Sportivi Complessi e Impianti Sportivi di Base. Il progetto vincitore della sezione Impianti Sportivi Complessi è stato quello presentato da Pool Engineering per la “Cittadella dello Sport” a Conegliano.
For the two-year period 2007-2008 the CONI Awards (Italian National Olympic Committee) for the Sports Facilities Competition were awarded and the Examining Commission evaluated 60 projects in competition. Two categories have been identified: Complex Sports Facilities and Basic Sports Facilities. The winning project for the Complex Sports Facilities section was presented by Pool Engineering for the “Cittadella dello Sport” in Conegliano.
OSPEDALE DI CONEGLIANO – Best Practice Patrimoni Pubblici
Nel periodo tra il 2006 e il 2011 Pool Engineering, in JV con altre società, ha progettato e diretto il cantiere per la realizzazione del nuovo blocco operatorio, del nuovo Polo Tecnologico e della ristrutturazione dell’edificio Ovest dell’ospedale di Conegliano. Questo lavoro ha ottenuto il premio “Best Practice Patrimoni Pubblici” collegato al 5° Forum Nazionale sui patrimoni immobiliari per la valorizzazione dei progetti più innovativi promossi e sviluppati in partnership fra Committenti pubblici e imprese private per la gestione e valorizzazione dei patrimoni immobiliari di proprietà pubblica.
In the period between 2006 and 2011 Pool Engineering, in JV with other companies, designed and directed the construction site for the construction of the new operating block, the new Technological Pole and the restructuring of the West building of the Conegliano hospital. This work has received the “Best Public Heritage Prize” award linked to the 5th National Forum on real estate assets for the valorization of the most innovative projects promoted and developed in partnership between public and private clients for the management and enhancement of public property estates.
PUBBLICAZIONE PAYSAGE 29/2017 MOVING WALKWAY
Un articolo del numero 29 del 2017 della rivista internazionale Paysage è stato dedicato al progetto del Moving Walkway e la nuova darsena per l’accesso dei passeggeri provenienti da Venezia all’aeroporto internazionale Marco Polo a Tessera, Venezia.
An article in the number 29 of 2017 of the international magazine Paysage was dedicated to the Moving Walkway project and the new dock for the access of passengers coming from Venice to the Marco Polo international airport in Tessera, Venice.
CANDIDATE FOR THE AWARDING OF THE GOLD MEDAL OF ITALIAN ARCHITECTURE
Il progetto del Moving Walkway e la nuova darsena per l’accesso dei passeggeri provenienti da Venezia all’aeroporto internazionale Marco Polo a Tessera, Venezia è stato segnalato per l’attribuzione della Medaglia d’oro dell’architettura italiana, premio triennale che si concluderà nel 2018.
The Moving Walkway project and the new dock for passenger access from Venice to Marco Polo International Airport in Tessera, Venice was candidate for the awarding of the Gold Medal of Italian Architecture, a triennial award that will end in 2018.
PUBLICATION AZIMUT
Nel 2005 Pool Engineering ha pubblicato un libro con la raccolta dei progetti di architettura più importanti eseguiti dal gruppo di architetti che, allora, lavoravano in team all’interno della società Azimut 05 di proprietà di Pool Engineering. Sono stati selezionati 22 progetti realizzati o oggetto di concorsi nazionali e internazionali di Architettura.
In 2005 Pool Engineering published a book with the collection of the most important architectural projects carried out by the group of architects who, then, worked as a team within the company Azimut 05 owned by Pool Engineering. 22 projects have been selected or have been the subject of national and international architecture competitions.
PUBLICATION OF MOUNTAIN ARCHITECTURE
Pool Engineering ha, da sempre, un contatto molto stretto con l’architettura di montagna. E’ presente da molti anni con un suo ufficio di progettazione a Cortina d’Ampezzo al quale fa riferimento un team di architetti specialisti in questo particolare linguaggio architettonico. Nel 2005 Pool Engineering ha pubblicato un libro con la raccolta dei progetti di architettura più importanti in questo settore che provano come sia stata eseguita una profonda ricerca tematica per fare evolvere il linguaggio architettonico tradizionale per renderlo attuale.
Pool Engineering has always had a very close contact with mountain architecture. He has been present for many years with his design office in Cortina d’Ampezzo, to which he refers a team of architects specializing in this particular architectural language. In 2005 Pool Engineering published a book with the collection of the most important architectural projects in this sector that prove how a deep thematic research was carried out to make the traditional architectural language evolve to make it current.
